As an idea that began on a car ride to Williamsburg one Sunday, the concept of J C Gourmet and More seemed just that....a concept. We, Jerry Husband and Calvin Dyson (owners), have both worked in the hospitality and sales industry for over half our lives and decided to put our sales talents and creativity to work for us. Our concept became reality quicker than we could have imagined.
Jerry, a former four diamond food and beverage manager, put his talented eye to work and began the inventory of designing an eclectic array of basket creations. Calvin, a car salesman for a large auto group in the Richmond area, began the word of mouth process of promoting the designs.
Within a month of opening, we took on our first corporate account and continue to add to the list of corporate clientele as well as individual customers. Our simple motto, "First impressions are created here," has been the focal point of building both the company and its reputation.
